Rod Run, Charity Quilt...

On Saturday, we joined the Rod Squad Hot Rod Club on a run to Harrisville.  The cars all met at Queens Park, Ipswich for registration before joining the run to our final destination about an hour away. On arrival we enjoyed billy tea and damper cooked in a camp oven. It was as delicious as was the pig on the spit we had for dinner as the sun went down. Freezing on the way home with many layers of clothing trying to keep out the cold, but in all a great day.

Rods lined up at Queens Park.
Arrival at Harrisville

The owner of this car would have been pretty cold driving home. The windscreen  was about chest height.

This little piggy was ready to eat.
And last but not least, one of the members of our quilting group asked if we would all help to put together a quilt for a charity auction which is being held to help raise money for her friends' son.  He became paralysed due to a cliff fall whilst on holiday overseas. My contribution was the hand embroidery  label.

The quilt is called Hopes & Dreams so I made the label in the shape of a cloud.
Well lots more stitching going on in my room this week, will be back soon to show you.
Happy Stitching all......
