This is my 1 Xmas Item a Month finish for February.
It is a Michelle Ridgway pattern called A Jolly Holly Gathering and can be found on Michelle's blog. I am a bit late in getting this finished as I began stitching the blocks last year along with Michelle and a couple of other ladies and I am the last to complete mine. Thank you Michelle for asking me to stitch along with you, I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
I chose to stitch it in a Cottage Garden Thread called Mistletoe and am very happy with how the threads look. I chose a couple of Nancy Halvorsen fabrics to complete the blocks and finished the quilt off by adding a hanging sleeve to the back. All I have to do now is find a hanger for it.
I am hoping to have one more finish for this month so best get out to my room and get sewing.
Till next time........ Happy Stitching..........
I'm looking forward to a great 2016. I have so many UFO's that I would like to complete this year, fingers crossed I will be able to do that and have time to spend with all my quilting buddies as well.

FNSI Results
I had a very productive time last night. I managed to finish my mug rug for Let's Get Stitched by adding the binding and stitching it down. Not long to go now only 12 days before I fly to Melbourne.
Next I worked on my Christmas hanging. I cut out the backing and basted the layers together ready for quilting. Today I quilted the top and cut out the binding. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to add the binding and I'll have another finish.
Lastly I cut out the blocks for my twister table runner.
Top photo: top ready to cut, cutting the squares using the twister ruler, ready to stitch back together.
I hope you all had a fantastic night and managed to join me in a coffee and an Anzac biscuit.
Will have a look tomorrow and see what everyone else got up to. You can check it out too by going over to Wendy's at Sugarlane Quilts.
Bye for now..................

Sunday Stitchers
Last Sunday, I attended our first bloggers get together for 2014. This year Maree has found us a lovely room at a Community Centre in Ormeau. We had a fun time as usual with lots of talking, laughing and of course catching up with what we had been doing over the break.
This year several of the group are doing a Row Along Quilt so we brought our first row which had the theme of flowers. Thank you Teresa for allowing me to borrow a couple of photos.
This is the only time we will have show and tell until the quilt top is finished. We will swap bags each month and add another row until finally we'll get our quilt top back. It will have 7 rows with each person in the group having added a row. This month we are to make a pinwheel row to add to the first one.
Here is a close up of my flower row. I added 2 stitchery blocks along with 6 flower ones to make my row.
Also this year we are having a Birthday Club and this month it was Lynda's birthday so here are the fat quarters she received.
I had a lovely day and am looking forward to our next one in March.
Till next time........ Happy Stitching............

Happy Valentines Day.
Just a quick post to say Happy Valentines Day. Hope everyone has had a fantastic day. I spent some time in my quilting room with air-con on as it was quite hot here today. Got a few things done before my hubby arrived home early from work with these.
I adore roses so this was a wonderful surprise. We had chinese takeaway for dinner, and finished it off with a white chocolate strawberry magnam for me and a dark chocolate vanilla one for Chris.
Just had to add to this post as I forgot to show a photo of what turned up in my bag of potatoes this week. Very appropriate for Valentines Day, don't you think?
Till next time.......... Hugs..............

Initial Heart Swap
I again joined in Cheryll's Initial Heart Swap. My partner and I have both received our gifts so thought I would show you them. Funnily enough we both received them on the same day.
Also included a couple of extras. Some chocolates and as Sharon loves cats, a cat stitchery pattern and a cat broach.
My gifts from Sharon. A lovely heart mat with my initial , some heart chocolates and lolly love hearts . |
My gifts to Sharon. A sewing folder with initial stitchery on the front, lots of storage pockets inside, heart needle & scissor holders. I designed this one myself so was quite happy with the finish. |
Thank you Sharon for my gifts and also Thank you to Cheryll (our swap mumma) for hosting another lovely swap. Till next time Happy Stitching.............

FNWF
Last night I sewed along with many other quilters and stitchers over the net. The project I worked on was my Michelle Ridgway Xmas quilt. Last year Michelle sent me a new stitchery each month which I could stitch in whatever colour I liked. I chose Mistletoe, a Cottage Garden thread. I finally finished all the stitcheries last year and am now in the process of putting it together. Here is where I got up to last night.
The blocks are sashed and the middle row is joined so on the homeward stretch now. Michelle has the pattern available so if you like it go over and check out all her patterns using the link above.
A big thank you to Cheryll for hosting. To check out all the other blogs and see what other people were working on last night go here.
Well must go as I am off to have lunch in the park with my sons and their families.
Till next time Happy Stitching......

OPAM, 1 Xmas Item a Month, Let's Get Stitched.
I again joined Kris and Peg for OPAM this year and sadly I only have one finish which was my 1 Xmas Item a Month. This year we have a dedicated blog for this and once signed up with Narelle of Pins and Whiskers, we can add our own post to the blog, which I did, but I also need to show the photo on here for OPAM.
I have quite a few things on the go though and so hope I will have a better tally of finishes for February.
Lastly, I am also working on my mug rug and bus trip badge for Let's Get Stitched in Melbourne which I am attending this year. It is on from the 6th to the 9th of March. I am really looking forward to making new friends and catching up with some old ones as well. Quite a few of the Queensland attendees are all on the same plane heading down south so that may be interesting. Hope we're not too noisy and get thrown off the plane!
Well that's all from me tonight. Happy Stitching till next time.
