After a busy day helping my son clean and rearrange my grandson's bedroom, I finally got into my sewing room, after an early dinner, to work on an old UFO from last year. Of course it was FNSI hosted by Wendy B of Sugarlane Quilts so I happily stitched along knowing that many other ladies were stitching along with me. After adding the sashing between and around the blocks, I started on the final border. This took me a while to work out so after putting on the side borders, I decided to leave the other two to another day as I was getting a bit weary.
Today I finally got around to that little job and am happy with how the finished quilt top looks. Below is a photo. The sun was going down as I took these
Now to layer it ready for quilting.
To finish I will show you a photo of the gift my son Todd gave me to help me see my stitching when we sit outside at his place. He uses one of these when he goes night fishing on the beach. It actually works very well so no excuse now not to stitch while waiting for the food on the B-B-Q to cook.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter so far. Till next time. Happy Stitching.........
I'm looking forward to a great 2016. I have so many UFO's that I would like to complete this year, fingers crossed I will be able to do that and have time to spend with all my quilting buddies as well.

Easter Mini Swap
I received my Easter Mini quilt last week sent by Raelene. This is what I received and below you can see it hanging on my frame awaiting the end of the week when Easter will be here. Raelene included chocolate, a coffee sachet and the little coaster that Cheryll our swap co-ordinator made for us to include in the parcel. Thank you Raelene for sending me this very cute mini, I love it. It makes me smile everytime I look at it.
My mini has also been received by Lyn who doesn't have a blog. She has sent me an email to say it has arrived so I can now show you what I made. It has the little label on the back that Cheryll also sent us to add to the mini back.
I also sent some mini bunnies for Lyn to eat. So glad you liked your mini Lyn. I really enjoyed stitching it. Thank you to Cheryll for letting me be a part of this swap, it has been lots of fun.
Just in case I don't get back on here before the weekend, I would like to wish everyone a very HAPPY EASTER.
Till next time........... Hugs............

FNWF, Mini Quilt Swap.
Last night I enjoyed stitching along with lots of other quilters in our monthly FNWF get together hosted by Cheryll over here. I am doing Gossip in the Garden with my group The Sunday Stitchers and as I am already behind due to a very busy March, I decided to work on the first two blocks. Unfortunately when I pulled out the fabrics I was going to use, I didn't like them so spent a bit of time picking through my stash to find something else. Now I need to get some background fabrics to go with these so nothing done on that except some tracing on viseoflex.
I then thought as it was already late I would be best to start to stitch one of the two Christmas designs I had traced out last week (an early start on my 1 Xmas Item for April). So here is my achievement for the night.
Thank you Cheryll for again hosting.
Also this week this little parcel has been sent off to my partner in The Mini Quilt Swap. I hope she likes it.
Today has been a very frustrating day. I have a very old computer which had Windows XP on it and of course that is being fazed out on the 8th April. We bought a new computer last week and so today was the day to switch over all my files, pictures etc to the new one. Had all my photos saved to an external hard drive but unfortunately the photo shop I was using was very out of date and not all the photos have transferred as I had them grouped. Luckily I bought tech support and they were very patient and managed to save a lot but until I go through the photos won't know for sure they are all there. A lesson well learned..............
Well must go I have had enough of computers today. Think I need to go and do a Windows 8 course, it is so different.
