Glenrose Cottage WIP, Natalie Bird Workshop

This is the Charming Stars runner I worked on at Glenrose Cottage. Took ages to finally decide where the blocks should go.  I also quilted my bag for the Natalie Bird workshop, just put the finishing touches to it when I got home (photo in previous post).
The other girls worked on some gorgeous projects but must show you a photo of these two beauties who after a questionable night scrubbed up quite well by the time they headed for home.

Jenny and Helen made these girls with the faces painted by Helen. We all wanted them to come home with us. No such luck though, their Mum ma's wouldn't let them.

The following Sunday, Sunday Stitchers had our workshop with Natalie Bird. The two projects for the day were a Tablet Holder and a Blackbird Purse.

Some of Natalie's work on display.

Lots of lovely projects to buy.
My purchases for the day.

A Christmas pattern, some prairie linen for a bag, stitching linen and some Tilda stripe.

Some of the ladies working hard on their projects. The last photo is of the Sunday Stitchers group with some of our Natalie Bird finishes.
We had the most wonderful day and Natalie is such a lovely person, I really enjoyed talking to her about all sorts of things throughout the day.
Well must go, tomorrow I am going to Lets Get Stitched with designers, Fiona Ransley, Vicki Tucek, Joy Coey and Dawn Hay. This year it's in Brisbane so not far to travel this time. It is from Thursday until Monday. I am looking forward to meeting up with all the people who attended LGS in Melbourne last year.
Will be back to tell you about it after the weekend. Lots planned so it will be fun..........

Retreat at Glenrose Cottage,

I was lucky enough to be invited along to spend a few days sewing with these lovely ladies at Glenrose Cottage in Warwick. Thanks for asking me Tuesday girls, as I had a wonderful time.
This photo taken on th last day. Back row, Jenny, Teresa, Noreen, Middle row, me, Susan, Front row,  Helen, De and Sandi

Sandi, me and Susan at Cannington Patchwork. Our last stop before heading home.
Thanks Teresa for allowing me to share a few of your photos.

But back to the beginning, we arrived on Monday in time for a quick look at the shop and a morning tea of freshly made scones with jam and cream before we unpacked the car and settled into our cottage which would be home for a few days.

I shared the cottage with De. It had all the comforts of home with quilts draped over boxes and chairs, I definitely slept well although De and I were guilty of talking till 2.30 am one morning and were pretty tired the next day. Thanks De for sharing with me and for the ride to and from.
It was great to have the shop on the grounds and I was a bit naughty with my purchases. This was the view from the cottage to the shop and our workshop area.

Here are my some of my purchases.......

Well I have a few more photos to show but will leave them for the next post.
Be back soon..........

OPAM Finish.......

Finally finished my Natalie Bird bag in time to take it along to her workshop, my group Sunday Stitchers, held a couple of weekends ago.

Have lots to show and tell but am off to my quilting group now, so will be back later to catch up on what I have been up to in the past few weeks and where I am going at the end of this week.
Till then....... Happy Stitching..........
